2018

The 1st International Workshop on the Cloud remote sensing, Atmosphere radiation and Renewal Energy application (CARE-2018) was held in Beijing, China from August 6 to 10, 2018. This was the first workshop of a series of cloud remote sensing workshops. Cloud properties derived from space observations are immensely valuable for climate research, renewal energy application and disaster monitoring.

Cloud remote sensing is one of the most promising techniques in understanding the uncertainties of climate change, largely underexploited fields in energy and disaster applications. This was the 1st meeting of the planned series of workshops on satellite cloud remote sensing. These scientific workshops aimed to promote international collaboration as well as in-depth exchange of ideas and experiences on diverse aspects of cloud remote sensing, in particular: advances in cloud remote sensing, atmospheric radiation, solar energy forecast and disaster monitoring.
