Guangjian Yan, a distinguished professor at Beijing Normal University and a doctoral supervisor, is a senior member of the IEEE. He serves as the associate editor for the Journal of Remote Sensing, a Science partner journal, and is the executive deputy director of the Quantitative Remote Sensing Professional Committee of the China Society of Remote Sensing Applications. He has received six provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological awards and has published over 300 papers. He has been consistently listed in the global top 2% of scientists by Elsevier and Stanford University. He led the development of China’s first airborne multi-angle power line inspection system, proposed the vegetation remote sensing path length distribution method, and established a series of remote sensing radiative transfer models under complex terrain and cloudy conditions. His achievements have been applied to China’s UAV remote sensing payload comprehensive verification system and have played an important role in a series of large-scale remote sensing comprehensive experiments.
