Yadong Dong received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in cartography and geography information systems from the Faculty of Geographical Science, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, in 2011, 2014, and 2017, respectively.

He was a postdoctoral fellow at the College of Water Sciences, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China from 2017 to 2019.

He is an Assistant Researcher with the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He has been focusing on research in optical radiative transfer modeling, vegetation parameter inversion and integrated remote sensing monitoring of ecosystem.
